The 27th Annual National Night Out (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), has been scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 3. All neighborhoods are encouraged to be a part of AUBURN’S NIGHT OUT 2010 team.
On Tuesday, Aug. 3, residents in neighborhoods throughout the city of Auburn and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on the outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police.
We have been notified by the Foxwood neighborhood that they are planning to participate. If your neighborhood is also planning to participate, you may register with the city of Auburn to promote your neighborhood's participation.
A big THANK YOU to all who volunteered to make the Lakeland Summer Social 2010 the big success that it was! There were games, ice cream, hot dogs, music and just lots of socializing at this year's event. It was estimated that over 500 adults, kids, and pets attended and contributed to its success.

With the increase in vacant properties in our neighborhoods comes the potential for vandalism or just unauthorized occupancy . Non-residents have been spotted on these vacant home properties at odd hours. We all want to protect our neighborhoods.
