The City of Auburn’s reverse 911 system, Auburn Alert, now has the ability to send SMS text messages and e-mail messages in the event of an emergency. To add your e-mail or cell phone number to the database, visit the City of Auburn website at www.auburnwa.gov/disaster and click the Auburn Alert icon to register online or call 253-876-1925.
Auburn Alert is designed to notify you in cases of city-wide emergency, all city residents and businesses are encouraged to register their phone numbers and email addresses. The automated, mapped system can place approximately 1,000 calls a minute to deliver emergency messages directly to your phone or e-mail. If you have registered previously for the service, visit the City’s website to add your e-mail address or cell phone number. There is no need to re-register if you do not want to add this information to the database.
