Web Site user specific information:

Q1:  Why is registration required for full access to the Lakeland HOA Web Portal?
A1:  The Lakeland HOA Web Portal contains some information that is for owners of Lakeland residences only.  Such information as annual budget, monthly BOD meeting minutes and Maintenance Reserve lists are examples of this information.  Registration and confirmation is necessary to insure that registered users are owners of Lakeland property addresses.  Future possibilities for additional online cost saving functions would require that registered users be verified as legal owners of Lakeland residences

Q2:  I registered, but still cannot access some of the resident information.
A1:  When you registered, you were automatically sent a confirmation e-mail with a link that needed to be clicked or accessed to complete the process.  This is to prevent unauthorized users from logging into the web site.  There are multiple users who have registered but not sent back their confirmation link.  This may be simply that the email they were sent was diverted to a Spam or Junk email box.  Periodically, a second reminder is sent out to these users, and a simple reply will confirm their intent to become a user.

Q3:  Is my email address made public or susceptible to any spamming?
A3:  No, the user registration email address is not published anywhere outside of an internal data base.  The only email you should receive is a periodic email from the Lakeland Web Administrator advising of upcoming Lakeland meetings or events.  Normally, this would be no more than once a month.

Q4:  My Neighborhood has a web page, but it has not been maintained with current information.
A4:  There are two reasons why this may be.  The first is that 14 of the neighborhoods are not sub- associations and thus are under the management of the Lakeland Master Association.  The second is that not all sub-associations have a web site administrator.  This is a volunteer position for each neighborhood, and after familiarity with the editing process for a page, can generally be done in one or two hours per month.  The Lakeland Web Site Administrator can be contacted if your neighborhood sub-association as yet has no neighborhood web page administrator.

Q5:  What are the most frequently used links on the Lakeland HOA Web Portal?
A5:  The most visited page on the web site is the Community Center link.  This link shows the interior of the Community Center after it was refurbished and also contains a calendar which lists the schedule of use for the two levels.  The second most visited link is the FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions page.  Lakeland HOA would like to add information to this page and would appreciate your ideas on more FAQ’s so they may be included on the FAQ page.  The third most visited link is the Neighborhood link.  Any comments you have are welcome and can be sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Q6:  Who can place classified ads on the Lakeland web site?
A6:  Registered users can create and place ads on the Lakeland Classifieds page.  The link for this is on the left side menu item under Features.  You can access the Classifieds ads creation page here using this direct link or just click Classifieds under Features. Classfied Ad Link

Q7:  Is a renter able to register on the Lakeland web site?
A7:  Yes, if you are renting at a Lakeland neighborhood address, you can gain full access to the web site by completing the registration form online.  At the bottom of the form, there is a check box to indicate that you are a renter at your rental address.  The registration form link is in the login box in the upper right panel.  Just click Register? to open the form.

Q8:  Is there a place on the web site for posting a notice of a social event, neighborhood activities, or other commentary?
A8: Yes, there is a Forum with both a Community and neighborhood categories.  The link for this is located on the left side under Online Features and is called Community Forum.  You must be a registered user to open the forum categories.  Although it reads “no new posts”, new ones are being posted and are shown by red text at the left margin of the forum page.  Here is a link to Forum

Q9: What is the reason for the Facebook link on our Lakeland Living web site?
A9:  The Facebook fan page also called Lakeland Living is not managed by the Lakeland HOA.  It was originated as a place for Lakeland residents to post items of social, recreational, or commercial interest to local residents, whether they are residents of Lakeland HOA or not.  It fills a need for information that is outside the Lakeland HOA web site content.

Q10:  Did you know that you can view the Community Center calendar for both official meetings and private bookings on the web site?
A10:  Yes you can.  It is viewable from the following web address without having to login as a registered user: Calendar

Q11:  Is there a Lost and Found posting on the web site?
A11:  Yes, there is.  The link for this is under Public Menu on the left panel and the form for it is here.  Lost and Found Link

Q12:  Is there any plan to use our web site for making dues or other payments to the HOA?
A12:  No, at this time, there is no connection between our Lakeland Living web site and the property management data base.

Q13:  What is the purpose and content of the topmost article on the Home page?
A13:  This box was put up to copy or mirror the content of the reader board that can be seen when driving up Lakeland Hills Way to the traffic light at Evergreen Way.  Many of our residents don’t use this access to Lakeland on a regular basis and so this content is of use to residents who regularly use Lake Tapps Parkway.

Q14:  What kind of electronic registration is provided by the web site?
A14:  The web site does provide a form for registration for some Social Committee events where registration is requested.  Look for the toplink under HOA Resources titled Forms and Applications
